We're close to making a deal on a 2018 or 19 Odyssey. If they can find the color we want in a 2018 there's a promotional 1.9% financing rate available through Honda but according to our salesman that's not available on the 2019. I'm waiting to hear back from him on what the rate on the 2019 would be (we have 800< credit score). What are the best rates on new cars right now?

Also he's offering $37,600 drive out price on a 2018 EX-L through the Costco program and $38,400 drive out on the 2019 EX-L using Costco as well. Those seem like extremely competitive prices to me (supposedly $1000 below dealer invoice) but wanted to see what y'all thought as well.

Thanks

Very funny. Looking for real world experience from people on this board if possible though.

I'd stick around for the '18 if they can find it. Honda (at least the AutoNation we worked with) is less likely to try and bait and switch on the price/trade-in if they are going with their promo rates. We got the 1.9% at the END of the price negotiation process, no questions asked.

Regardless of credit score, the rate they give you won't be anywhere close to 1.9%. My best guess is a CU is going to be a good option for a great rate if you can get comfortable with the price on the '19.

I got 1.65 from Austin Telco FCU about two years ago. Sorry, this is the most recent data I have.

18 and 19 are the exact same vehicle. I'll try Aggieland and see what they have.

Advertising as low as 2.49 for up to 3 years, 4-5 is 2.69.

2.49 for up to 5 years

Shopped rates pretty hard earlier this year, and these two were consistently the lowest, and both have easy membership requirements.
