If vehicle is over 10 years old, put "EXEMPT" in the mileage section.

I write a bill of sale and make two copies, one for me and one for new buyer. Typically have both parties name, address, TXDL #, VIN, Make, Model, Color, something about as is, where is, no warranty or guarantees, etc.

Have a spot for both people to sign.
