Guys, I bought (paid too much for but don't really regret it) a '99 F-250 with the 7.3 last summer. I absolutely love the truck, and have had really no issues (knock on wood) with it so far. I bought it with 93k miles, and I've put almost 40k miles on it this year. That sort of super high mileage driving shouldn't continue much longer, but I live in the burbs of Houston and will always have somewhat of a commute regardless.
My question is this...what can I do or what do I NEED to do to best ensure the longevity of this truck? I have every intention of squeezing every mile out of it that I'm able to, because 1) I like the truck and 2) I REALLY like not having a payment. I change the oil and fuel filter at the recommended intervals religiously, but I don't know what other things I need to be doing. I know there is a lot of knowledge on this board, and a lot of you have or had 7.3s.
Thanks!
