Well, they owned it for 8 hours. Was trailering it home to Houston from the auction in Dallas when they were hit from behind by an 18 wheeler.

I'm assuming he'll get reimbursed for the full sale price he paid just 8 hours before the incident? I sure hope so at least.Jaydoug said:

He should. Easiest measure of value is what he paid.TX_AG_10 said:I'm assuming he'll get reimbursed for the full sale price he paid just 8 hours before the incident? I sure hope so at least.Jaydoug said:

Hard to tell from photos, but the damage doesnt seem terrible...assuming frame and drive train are OK.
If it was an original metal car it would be unbelievably expensive to repair. Even though re-stamped metal is available (I have a lot of it on my Fastback) it would take away a lot of the value.lb3 said:
It can't be a real Shelby if it was totaled. Even if the unibody is crushed, all the metal in that car is still being stamped so anything can be repaired for far less than the $120k+ value of a Shelby.
Small world! I went to MM countless times during my restoration when they were in Katy. Is Russell still around?atmpam07 said:

As said earlier, it's a coupe so definitely not a real Shelby.
Russell moved Mustang Mania to Round Mountain, Tx.
Sure, it's very common. Especially with a badass engine like the 427.91AggieLawyer said:
Can they take everything out and put into a repro/other body? Might consider taking a salvage claim instead of full.
