I'm selling my 2001 Honda S2000 because my wife and I are moving to a small apartment in Austin and I will not have room to store an extra vehicle. It is a great car and I will miss it. It is a blast to drive and maintain and has been the most reliable car I have ever owned. I would much prefer to sell to one of you guys so please PM me with an offer if you are interested, the worst I can say is no. See the craigslist ad for photos and I have copied the description below. The asking price is $13,000.

I am selling 2001 Honda S2000 with a clean title. This car is stock and has never been modified or tracked. The car has been obsessively maintained with only OEM components, I have maintenance records during my ownership of the vehicle. The car is in incredible condition for its age and the seats/interior are nearly perfect (I will add more interior photos soon). The asking price for the car is relatively firm due to the excellent condition of the vehicle, the fact that it has never been modified or tracked, and the fact that the new owner will not have to do any of the usual fixes required of a 1st generation (AP1) S2000 (See below for more information). When you come test drive this vehicle please bring an up to date copy of your insurance card as well as your drivers license. I will not allow test drives or show the car without the buyer having the cash or proof of ability to purchase available. I will not finance a buyer. This vehicle is paid off and the title is immediately available. I encourage any buyer to take this car to an independent shop for an inspection and compression test.

The earlier S2000 models (AP1) had issues that were fixed in the second generation model (AP2). When I purchased this vehicle I made an effort to have these issues remedied with AP2 parts. The following changes were made to this vehicle:

- AP1 valve retainers replaced with AP2 retainers
- AP1 Oil Banjo Bolts replaced with revised AP2 (4 hole) bolts to prevent oil starvation when cruising at speeds of over 80mph.
- spark plugs torqued correctly
- Axel Nuts torqued correctly
- OEM convertible top replaced with Robbins Premium Cloth/Glass Window top

Additional Maintenance and parts purchased during my ownership:

- NGK Laser Iridium Resistor Spark Plugs IFR7G11KS (gapped correctly)
- New Tires (Hankook Ventus V12)
- Shifter clean, lubrication, shifter foam replacement (Honda Super High Temp. Urea Grease)
- Serpentine drive belt replaced (OEM Honda part)

- Differential fluid flush and change (Amsoil 75w-90 Severe Gear, Washers 90402-pcz-003 and 90401-pcz-003)-> old fluid fully filled and magnetic bolt residue indicated low wear
- Bled clutch fluid and replaced with ATE Super Blue Dot 4 Racing Fluid
- Replaced FR/RR rotors with Centric Premium Rotors
- Replaced FR/RR brake pads with AP1 OEM brake pads
- Rebuilt FR/RR brake calipers (took apart, cleaned with steel brush and brake solvent, lubricated piston and seals with Honda supplied brake grease)
- Bled FR/RR brake fluid and replaced with ATE Super Blue Dot 4 Racing Fluid
- Replaced torn vinyl top with premium cloth/glass window Robbins Convertible Top conversion kit
- Chassis lubrication

- please inquire for VIN via email
- This vehicle has a clean title
- The car has approximately 111,500 miles, but this will increase as I commute with the vehicle
- The car had 91,000 miles when I purchased it, the previous owner purchased the car at 21,000 miles
- I have owned the car for 3 years
- I am selling the car because my wife and I are moving to a city with limited parking and it is no longer practical for us to own more than 2 vehicles.
- I purchased the car in Dallas Texas, the previous owner purchased the car in Dallas, TX as well
- I have maintenance records during my ownership of the vehicle. The previous owner changed the oil with synthetic oil every 3000 miles and followed Honda service intervals at the dealership.
- No recent work has been done to the car
- The car needs no work and is in perfect driving condition
- The car has never been in an accident major or minor
- I last changed the oil 100 miles ago, I change the oil every 3000 miles, I check the oil every fill up and have never had to top it off.
- The car has never run low on oil (or even gotten lower than halfway between min/max lines)
- The previous owner changed the tires once during his ownership (21k-91k miles), I changed them once more at 91k miles and these tires still have plenty of tread at 112k miles. The clutch is also original and does not show signs of needing replacement.
- The car has never been raced, tracked, or autocrossed
- The car has never been over-revved due to a mis-shift. The original AP1 retainers were replaced with AP2 retainers and there were no cracks on the original AP1 retainers (I still have them and will show you)
- The car has always been garaged. When parked temporarily outside the garage, the car was covered with a Cover-craft NOAH cover.

Negatives:

- Tires have approximately 30% tread left
- Minor curb rash on 2 wheels
- Small scratches, chips, one small dent in passenger door
- Passenger side speaker occasionally cuts out, due to new radio head unit installation the original steering wheel controls are no longer connected.

Included with the vehicle:

Original window sticker
Convertible top cover
Owner's manual
2 Master keys
1 Remote
Tow hook and jack tools
Spare tire
Wheel lock keys
Seat lock keys
Cover-Craft NOAH cover
