The story behind these prison plates. Through my HS gf (FTAC of '08) her dentist, Dr. Lumsden offered me one of these license plates when I was 17.

When he mentioned having the pair, I told him that they were worth much more by keeping them together and he allowed me to keep both.

Now, these were never registered in Texas. Dr. L had a ranch somewhere in the state and came across a few oil drums filled with old Texas license plates. Apparently, after they were stamped someone at the DMV noticed and ordered them to be scrapped. (FU, BJ, etc)

I'd really like to find any kind of vehicle from 1955 to see if I could get them registered. What do y'all think?
