That's awesome! We (+Mom) drove the 56 Caddy to the game and parked closer to the 1st base side of Blue Bell park. You're right, traffic was really smooth exiting.
(Picture is relevant to thread because it has original 1956 tags, right?)

Thanks Maroon. It's been in the family for almost 60 years (32k orig. miles) We recently had a lot of little gremlins fixed (A/C works again, Fuel Gauge, Speedo Cable, Front bench seat re-upholstered, New whitewall tires...)

Far from perfect cosmetically, she wears her age well and runs like a dream!

Thanks raving! It's mostly original paint (85%?). The white roof has never been touched, however the maroon was touched up in a few areas due to severe spider cracking so rust wouldn't set in. (It was sold new in Des Moines, IA so the cold/hot temps took a toll.

That was probably done in the mid-late 70's but you can get a better idea from these photos. It's almost impossible to match a 1950's acrylic lacquer paint even in the 1970's.

So you must recollect Catfish Sams and Fast Freddy's. I remember back when Dreamworld was a cool spot to chill away from the single nasty couch they had inside (talkin' early 2000's)

Pearl's Cherokee Lounge is a Texas Landmark imho.
