Dear dubidumbass
States requirements for brake fluid are " the fluid must be within an inch of the full line- thanks for posting the pic,

Dear QuickerSticker dumbass:

Do you overestimate the length of your weenie too?

Maybe you can buy your employees a ruler. Please note my brake fluid is 3/4" from the full line----which according to you is in full compliance.

Thanks for playing!

Who'd a thunk the min line would be exactly 1" from the max line.

I hate it when shops top off my brake fluid. Just means to keep the MC from overflowing all over the engine bay when changing pads I have to remember to first suck some fluid out of the MC.

I know Quickersticker is gone, but the law actually states:

quote:
Reject if:

g. Fluid level in the master cylinder is more than 1 inch below the top of the reservoir or below manufacturer's recommended level.

I am willing to bet that "Min" on the master cylinder is the manufacturer's minimum recommended level. As long as the fluid level is above "Min" it should pass inspection.

Wow. Have never had any issues with them, even with the demon-posessed Escort. No way will I go back now. I don't give my business to *******s and QS is definitely an ******* based on his posts. And as 1Ags pointed out already they apparently only have a 4th grade edumucation and grasp of the English language.

Wonder how much business QS Dumbass just lost with that series of posts.

Believe only 17 states now have inspections. Texas Leg. repealed our law only to have Gov. Clements veto the bill ! The one thing I disagreed with him for sure !

Inspections lead to some of the worst ripoffs ! Fortunately there are some that don't take advantage !

Is this accurate, only 17 states do inspections?!? I hope so! I was thinking we were getting closer to having emissions testing mandatory state-wide, I would love for inspections to just go away instead.

I like how he didn't refute any of my statements about paying extra to pass or passing home built off road vehicles.

"Your brake fluid is low and needs to be topped off before you pass inspection".

You picked on the wrong woman! I happen to know a little bit about what is under the hood of my vehicle and told you NO; my brake fluid is just fine. I asked him if it was below the "min" line and he said he could fail my inspection even if it was between min/max. WTF!

How many women a day do you scam?

You actually do look like you could use a brake flush. That stuff almost looks like oil. Good brake fluid should be clear or slightly amber. Brake fluid that dark has absorbed a lot of moisture, which may expand and become compressible when heated through braking.

That would be Mr Dubi's job. My job is to buy guns and ammo!

FYI: He says that is has been ~3 years and 7k miles since the brake fluid was changed.

3 years or 30k miles is a normally recommended interval. Moisture will be absorbed through seals over time, so you're probably about due. I just did my wife's, thinking about doing move though I'm only at 2 years and 27.5k.

ABATTBQ11,

Read the Tundra manual and find the brake fluid change interval please.

I was involved with an investigation where an 8-year old was killed due to low tread on the rear tires of a truck. After a couple of years the depositions were complete, a lot of money changed hands and it is one of the reasons why Discount Tire will now only install new tires on the rear of a vehicle (if replacing two at a time) as the tire manufactures request it.
Having trouble believing that was the ONLY reason the 8-year old was killed.

I can't quite understand. Do you want inspections to go away while retaining emissions testing? Or do you want emissions testing to go away, as well?

I don't really understand the hate for inspections. They seem like a good idea, in concept.

Emissions inspections are a good thing. We should be testing more vehicles, ie diesel trucks, big and small.
