Thoughts? Fiance has done a number on her 2010 Murano which is now requiring about $2.5K in body work as well as some required maintenance and fluid flushes that will probably set us back another $1K. I'm at the point where I would rather trade it in now (one dealer quoted us $10.5K for trade (well above what we owe), 2010 SL with leather seats and 98K miles) and get a new car or slightly used car.

The car community seems to really like the redesigns on them (they are very slick looking) and for the most part is seems like Nissan still has a decent reliability rating. One thing that concerns me is the CVT they have in them, but I think they have worked out most of the issues with them.

Thanks in advance.

Email 1ags and get a price on a 2015 Edge.

That being said, I'd shy away from anything with a CVT if you plan on keeping it for over 100,000 miles.

going mainly off of doing a search for them and seeing the reviews from different car outlets.

Probably one of the ugliest crossovers on the road today. But, to each their own...

If my wife has done a number on her car, as you say yours has, I guess my last instinct would be to buy her a brand new car to do another number on.

The previous one - absolutely awful. That's probably what the OP's fiance has. The 2015 is better (looking).

The OP's fiance is in a rut. Don't let her buy the same thing again. Pretty soon, they'll get married, and 10 years from now they'll find out they have bought four Nissan Altimas in a row.

I'd consider the new Edge or the Tiguan. Maybe the Acura RDX.

It's a little over styled but it doesn't bother me too much, I agree it looks better than it used to.

Not as bad as the infamous convertible.

I'm surprised yall think it looks so bad, I think it looks good. I would never drive it but that's true for most crossovers on the road. The issue I face is the car has decent bit of equity built up and given the body work needed and it being at 100k it seeks like the time to trade in and move on, especially since I have zero idea what type of maintenance she has done to this thing.

That being said, I'm left with the battle of her saying what she wants, with the murano being the far lesser evil than some of the luxury cars she "likes".

The new one looks far less like a hippo.

To be honest I'd look into something else. I've helped a couple people we know load up theirs and I was amazed how little carrying capacity the Murano has.

I refuse to by anything Nissan related at the moment because

1) Something about that idiotic commercial where the girl dodges her commute by jumping her SUV onto a train makes me want to shoot at my TV, and

2) Any company that makes a vehicle this ugly clearly has no idea what they are doing...

Yeah, but any company that will take a Nissan Juke and put a GT-R engine in it has at least someone in the company doing something right.

When I see a Juke from the rear, I think of a super compact body builder. Almost a dwarf with huge muscles. Kinda cool look.

Then I see the front and think of Playskool toy car. Ugh.
