What kind of wiper blades do you normally buy and why? Are there really any major differences between them?

Costco has Goodyear flex blades for $7. They work just as well IMO as the expensive Bosch ICON.

I like the costco wipers, as well as the michelin frameless at Wally World.

I don't think I have ever bought a set of replacement blades that were as good as the originals

Thats also probably due to the new Glass being contaminant free and without any chips and scuffs etc.

I was surprised to see what claying my windshield did for me.

My stock Toyota frameless blades lasted from August 2007 until November of last year, still performing admirably when I replaced them, but they had nicks in them from a cracked windshield that was replaced late last year.

I replaced them with Valeo 900 frameless blades, and they have been excellent so far. Amazon runs a special occasionally for 2 for 1 on those.

I like the Rain-x wiper. Amazon.com many times has them for about 1/2 of retail or about $12 each.

I will definitely be going with frameless, probably from Costco or amazon

Icons suck in the longer variety. They do a piss poor job of matching the curvature of our Expy and leave those little areas that the blade never contacts near the bottom.

I've used many of the top ones listed, but really didn't think they did a much better job than other blades.

Lately, I've been using Michelin Stealth. Not too expensive and seem to last longer than the more expensive frameless.

Any opinions on the Michelin Stealth versus the Bosch Evolution? Amazon has 2 for $22 right now for the Evolution.

Are the Icons the factory wipers for a 2008 Outlook? Those wipers are the best I have ever had on a vehicle and look like the Icons from what I can tell. Looking to replace the originals on the Outlook and then also a 2003 Silverado.

Anyone else frustrated that the "slowest" speed for many auto-sensing wipers is really fast?
First world problem derail over.
