Just got this from a family member, and its in need of a total restoration. I am trying to find new wheels and tires for it, but I am having trouble finding any wheels. They are 15inch 8 lug. The originals are split rims and no one will work on em for me. Any body know where i can look? Please help i need to get this baby in the garage asap before the city of Houston tries to fine me for a non running vehicle being in the driveway.

find some regular wheels on craigslist and drill them out as a temp solution until you can swap axles or hubs

If you can't find anything you could try an adapter, that may hold you over till you find some originals...Looks like they'll do custom orders.

Get some go jacks.

Pretty sure it's going to be 8x6.5 but judging from what I read it's picky about backspacing on the wheels.

I would agree with the back spacing. They would rub the fenders if you tried to push the tires out at all.

Aggietaco is right. Go to Stovebolt dot com and sign up immediately.

There is even a special section Just for Texans

Post your request there, I bet someone will loan you some wheels to get it off the street.

6.5" bolt circle on that 8 lug wheel
quote:
3/4-ton & 1-ton w/ singles -- These trucks use the same size stud-piloted wheel (refer to the chart above). The center hole size for single wheels is less critical, as they rely on the studs for location, not the center hole. You can find new single 19.5" tubeless wheels with the 8-lug pattern from Rickson Truck Wheels. Single 19.5” 8 lug wheels (to fit 19.5" tires) can be found used in junk yards -- they may look large, and you could try some different tire sizes smaller than the 8R19.5. Although 8R19.5 tires should just fit without rubbing if you like the look, (and increased road speed). Double check that the countersink angle in the wheels match the lug nuts you will use, as the angle has changed over the years and with different manufacturers/brands of wheels.
