I dont know man that sounds pretty low. Try craigslist for around 500-700. You never know what they might give you. Or you can just try to sell it to a junker for scrap.

There is a guy in College Station and another in Caldwell buying junk cars. I know there are quite a few others around but I dont have any of their contact info.

Rear ends arent too difficult to replace. 91 Toyota should be pretty common in the junk yard. Probably cheap too.

I always hear the guys on the radio talk about the Houston Can Academy. They come pick up your car and take it as a charitable donation which allows you to claim up to 5K? on your taxes. Not sure on the dollar amount but might be worth checking out.

Tax write offs are only for what the car sells for. I have donated two cars to them.

They changed the law back a few years ago. Used to, you could write off the BB value of the car. Now, it is the what the car sold for.

I would say put a "For Sale" sign on it and maybe CL. After a week or so, then have them take the car.
