Tahoe - Bucket Seats or No Bucket Seats?

I've been looking at used Tahoes and I've always preferred riding in the second row of a Tahoe that has bucket seats. With that being said, how practical is it to have bucket seats in the second row on a long term basis as an owner of a Tahoe? If it matters, we hope to start a family in the near future which means having a car seat at some point.

TIA.

Buckets, HANDS DOWN! With a car seat, you're going to put it on the passenger side anyway. When they get older, they can easily climb into the back with buckets.

I have had bucket and bench in 'burban's. The buckets have been more convenient, however, when the kids were younger, it was nice to have that barrier between the little ones and the older ones...

We got bench in the middle as a barrier for the dogs (no kids yet). Figured by the time we had enough kids to fill up a bench seat in the middle row, we would probably be getting a new car anyways.

I have one with a bench with 3 kids, works fine.

Usually the price difference between having a bench and buckets is several thousand dollars because usually the units with buckets have other options like a sunroof, dvd, or whatever. If you special order the cost is around $700 more.

We're close to needing two car seats and want buckets. You can put both car seats in the buckets and then other people can get to the backseat between the buckets. If you have a second row bench and two car seats, you will have to take out and reinstall one of the carseats (which is a beech) to fold down the 2nd row bench so people can get in and out.

If you use it for cargo transport like we do, the bucket seats are space wasting no-go's..

My tahoe has a bench second seat. Till the girls we big enough to bother each other I had them right next to each other, one car seat in the center, one next to the door. That way I could also fold the regular seat down if necessary. Plus any other person riding in there wouldn't have to crawl over the seat to get to the middle. My tahoe has a latch connection in the middle and the passenger side. My parents tahoe latch connections are on the driver and passenger side, leaving the middle open.

Buckets in my '09. If I had kids, I would prefer the bench to keep them out of the back.
