Obviously, I've altered the number in a terrible MS Paint job, but the configuration is still the same.

What kind of plate is this? I've never seen one.

What letter did you paint over with the second O?

H maybe?

I'm thinking since they actually used O's the first two letters are the identifier.

Kind of defeats the purpose of painting them over, but they were both Q's.

oh, then they didn't use both Os and 0s...

that makes more sense.

QQ is the designation for historic plates

Looks like the NATO symbol on the upper left.

Thats a DoD plate for personal military vehicles deployed in the Nato region.

Folks that bring their car over here (to Germany) can get one issued to them.

Im pretty sure in Germany though most of them start with HK. The sticker on that plate looks like a Dekra/TÜV inspection sticker to me.

See the Wiki Site, it shows your plate

Im not DoD, but HKs were on post folks' plates, NOT just ones for shipping back. A lot of cars that previously were on post get sold to German lots outside the gates.

People who dont live on post, dont get DoD plates like that. I did see some folks with the normal German plates here at Patch in Stuttgart last year .. but yeah .. I figure those were new folks, most everyone still had the HK plates.

If yall remind me in March, Ill ask the people on base at Muster.
