Seems like every fokking automotive board, theres always a dewsh that comes on and somehow slips in scAmsoil.

Anyone here use/sell it?

I hate the MLM pyramid scheme myself, therefore I dont use it.

I like Mobil1 and Royal Purple for my synthetics.

There's a couple of them here in town, but I don't have the email addresses for them any more.

If you go to the Amsoil website, there's a link to find dealers in the area.

A friend of mine is a rep. I can get you his contact info if you are looking for a dealer.

Never used the stuff, rotella for engines, coastal for gear stuff, anything red for steering and autos.

There are a bunch of guys on the V board that swear by the stuff...it's actually pretty annoying...

The Amsoil guys have a lot of the motorcycle riders convinced as well. A large number of the guys on the Yamaha forum I visit praise the stuff. I like Shell Rotella T in my bike and Mobil1 in my autos.

They're everywhere. Honestly, I find them highly annoying.

Their pyramid scheme is really irritating. This is what turns me off the stuff (although it might be a good product)

This is the same reason I hate Amway/Quickstar (although we buy a few items we have been impressed with over the years)

I am also a big BG believer (although I hate there new marketing strategy as well, they are doing shady stuff with some of the dealers)

BG is good stuff but yes, The tokens in the bottom of the cans of stuff is really shady.

The tokens are shady yes, but my main problem was with the tactic reps use.

situation (note this WAS NOT local)

Rep told the dealer that in order to be on the BG site as a list of distributors etc.. they have to sell so much product. dealer replys he won't be able to sell anywhere near that much, reps repies with less than reputable ways in which to push product on customer

I am hoping it was a bad apple of a rep (not a company wide problem)

I know at the European shop I worked at in High school, every car that came in for a major or minor service (15, 30, 45, 60k etc) got a can of 44K.

I always thought BG had good stuff. Gotta know where to find it, though.

Most of the time mechanic shops have it only. YOu can find their stuff online now and then, I picked up some frigi-quiet on ebay a while back.

I used to live next door to a BG guy, so I just traded beer and bbq for stuff.

They're on the damn jeep boards too.

Mobil 1, Rotella, and RP were the biggest names on the Isuzu boards...
