took these a while back while but just now got them on the computer. this thing was in perfect condition. took pics next to my old c6 to illustrate how small it was
the interior was great - pedals, wheel, gauges, stick, e-brake. the end
Blue-eyes - I park next to that guy every day in my building. He said he thinks he's got the only one in Dallas (that was about a year ago, haven't talked to him since).
Whenever anyone is in my passenger seat, I ask them to get out before I park.

maybe 5-10, thin hair/balding, average build (not a gym guy, but not mr. beer gut either)? if so, that was him. if not, his DFW nemesis
I'm 95% sure the vintage Spyder is a kit car based on a Type-1 VW pan. The tunnel, shifter location and heater lever (instead of a turn wheel) make it look to be a replica. Too bad you couldn't open the rear deck lid, if you had I bet you wouldn't have found the 356 motor, you would have found a "modern" Type-1 based on an AS41 block. Not sure about the wheels, looks like the wide-5 wheels, which would be correct, but Type-1s used the same bolt pattern until the late '60s.
I saw a silver and black Rolls Royce Phantom yesterday in Houston... Waiting in a very long toll booth line. Guess he isn't rich enough to get an EZ tag.
