Like with every area of our state, opinions vary.. looking to see if we can find a consensus here on just what is, and isn't Central Texas.

that would be my estimation. I'd say Brady though instead of San Saba. Brady to Eden is really where it starts looking West Texasy. Brady is also actually closest to the CENTER of Texas

when i left San Angelo I wanted North of I10, South of I20, West of I35, and East of 277 was my circle I was ok living in.

Fayette ain't part of Central Texas. That's lumped in with Colorado County, Lavaca County, etc. as "Bohemianville."

In what way does Brady to Eden start looking like west Texas?

most of the way from San Saba to Brady is still fairly wooded (pretty ugly around Panther Creek though.) You can't even see Rochelle, it's so wooded.

As soon as you get west of Brady, it becomes flat farmland.

BROWN and MCCULLOCH need to be part of that list since the geographic center of Texas is between Brady and Brownwood.

Washington County, I think Brenham is too far south and east.

Travis County is split between the ****hole of Austin and the Hill Country of far NW Travis County.
