I'm in the Waco area, so a little different. I had Grande/Astound for years, when they had local customer service they were great. Then, it changed, customer service is now in India if you can actually get past all of the worthless automated responses. They tried to screw me on my bill, I was one a 100 MBPS download plan for about $70/month. They got rid of that plan, so they put me on a 150 MBPS plan that was $350/month. I was less than happy when I got the bill. They refunded me, but would have happily screwed me if I didn't catch it.
Then, my download speeds got to the point where it was difficult to work from home. I switched to T-Mobile and have been happy for 2+ years now.
