JOB DESCRIPTION

Lendlease manages one of the largest portfolios as part of the U.S. Department of Defense's Military Housing Privatization Initiative (MHPI), a program that provides for the transfer of military housing assets to private sector companies. With over 40,000 residential units and more than 12,000 hotel rooms in its portfolio, Lendlease will finance, develop, build, renovate and operate these sites for at least 50 years. JOB SUMMARY

In this role, you will get to plan and manage renovation, repair, and upgrade projects, as well as new construction projects, for the over 5,600 homes in 10 distinct communities at the Fort Hood army base. You will additionally get to analyze needs and market factors over multiple neighborhoods to determine recapitalization priorities and plan the construction scope of works accordingly.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The following describes the general nature of the work anticipated in this role and is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all required to be performed.
  • Work with the Project Director and Development Executives to identify potential client and project opportunities and risks.
  • Obtain land development entitlements, design and construction approvals, completion certifications, and other regulatory permits and approvals, as required.
  • Conduct day-to-day project administration and coordination, including management of project meetings with the Client, the Project Company, the Design and Construction Teams, and other project-related direct and indirect stakeholders.
  • Prepare and administer project scopes of work, bids, contracts, schedules, and budgets, as directed.
  • Commission, manage, and coordinate; attorneys, land use consultants, architects, engineers, and other project consultants.
  • Undertake (with and without design consultants) detailed site investigations, and develop project risk mitigation and opportunity implementation strategies for the project.
  • Prepare and monitor development proposals and presentations, operating budgets, and monthly cost reports.
  • Work closely with the Project Director, and other project team members to periodically revise the Project's financial pro forma and business plans.
  • Supervise the quality assurance/quality control of a large volume of planned and ongoing development work in progress.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Extensive experience in construction, preferably with both new ground-up and renovation projects, including procuring contractors and overseeing work in the field.
  • Experienced in developing detailed long-term plans to a set budget to manage residential (new or renovation) construction needs. Presenting these for review and approval to a client is a strong plus.
  • Skilled in managing projects, with the proven ability to deliver high-quality projects, on time and within budget.
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to be influential through written, presentation, and public speaking formats.
  • Four-year Bachelor's Degree in architecture, construction management, engineering, land economics, or equivalent field experience, is required. Master's Degree is preferred, but not required.
