This Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM, the Fort Hood Clear Creek Commissary at 500001 Clear Creek Road in Fort Hood will host a free COVID-safe drive-thru marrow drive. A quick, painless cheek swab is all it takes to find out of if you're a match to MJ or another patient in dire need of marrow that could save their life.

If able, please join the registry. If you are found to be a match you are pretty much that patients only hope.


As a side note- if you can please donate platelets, blood too. Lots of oncology patients need regular platelet and red cell transfusions just to keep healthy enough to go through treatments.

Two community blood centers Scott and White in temple which supplies their own hospital and Carter BloodCare out of waco which supplies all of the other hospitals in the area are always in need of donors, especially platelet donors.

If you are found to be a match, they'll bring you into a Carter BloodCare center in DFW usually to collect the stem cells needed for the patient.
