Channel 10 just reported that the owner of The Village Bakery in West, Mimi Montgomery Irwin, passed away today. The Village Bakery in downtown West is billed as the First All-Czech bakery in Texas. IMHO, they have the best Kolaches in Central Texas

Very sad and shocking. Mimi was a beautiful lady. Worked with her Over the past couple years and she was always so pleasant and kind. She will be missed greatly.

She did a lot for the community. May she rest in peace. I'm not sure what they are gonna do...don't believe she had any close relatives.
