I'd say I'm disappointed, but I haven't eaten there since like 2002.
I have not been since about 1993
I've been told the building is being demolished and apartments will be going in. Seems appropriate.
Sad to see an establishment go away, but I stopped caring about Temple restaurants of Doyle Phillips' shutdown.

I wish I was sad but I could never get over that place charging $12 for 4 white wings.
When Ralph was our state rep, I think he had his hands in the I35 expansion and made sure it wouldn't take las casas out. I had a great summer working there. Made a lot of friends I still have 25 years later but I'm not sad to see that place go. He was a terrible employer. And that food was terrible.
White wings were delicious.... we called them "Heart Attacks" hahaha. Only ate them during happy hour on the patio so they were half price.
I will say, the rest of the food on the menu pretty much sucked.

Not a bad deal for property taxes. The property value will go up as well as taxing the inventory. It's a win for temple and TISD. Applebees might close too. So this is needed.

I have been to Applebee's once in my 10 years here. And that's because I had a coupon.
I don't understand why someone would choose to eat at Applebee's or Chili's.
I actually really like Chili's.
I don't eat there in Temple very often but it has a few healthy filling options when I travel.

I like Chilis too. One of the better lunch menus around.
Chilis is MUCH better than it was 20'years ago
