Yes, they are fried. They get them premade from PFG. IMO, they are MUCH better homemade and grilled.

I have yet to try these....We were just discussing them in the office a couple of weeks back!

I'm just used to my own homemade...

The best way to eat them is to cut them in half and put them in a tortilla with ranch dressing and cheese.

I like to do them with a whole chicken breast. Cut the Chicken down the middle, but not all the way through. Put your japs and cheese on the inside and then fold up the breast. Add a couple pieces of bacon and use tooth picks to hold it all together. I will then drop it in the fryer just long for the bacon to get nice and cooked. Usually the chicken is not cooked, so I bake it in the oven for a few minutes to finish the chicken. It is very good.

Seriously? I guess I'm easily fooled and easily disillusioned, but this just seems disingenuous.

Yeah, I agree... I am a little confused on this though. They claim to be the originator of them, so I guess at one time they did make them, but then found a cheaper way to do it? Not sure how that worked?

What is PFG?

Performance Food Group, a large national corporation that distributes food products to restaurants and grocery stores, etc. There is a PFG DC in Temple.

PFG used to be under the McLane umbrella.
