I am going to CC this weekend just to get away for the weekend. It will be my first time there. Any recommendations on activities or places to eat?

Whatever you do, don't eat at Blackbeard's on North Beach!

I ate at Blackbeards last week and was not impressed.

In all honesty, it's supposed to be raining alot this weekend which makes the few good things in corpus suck such as the beach. The Lexington is kinda cool if you've never been on a carrier or any other decommissioned naval ship before.

Maybe I've just lived here too long, but the city is pretty dead. Sorry I couldn't help anymore.

• Go to the Texas State Aquarium
  
• Ride the carousel at Padre-Staples Mall
  
• Dine at your choice of any chain restaurant found in every city in the USA
  

Stroll along the bayfront while shopping at local stores and dining at unique local restaurants is not on the list since the leadership in Corpus Christi have been idiots for at least the past 40 years.
