There will be 6 of us from the dfw area, is there some kind of place we can stay like a lodge or something? Our fall back will be a cheap motel in Clute or somewhere close.

How about renting a house in Surfside?

since I posted this, I have been looking more in that direction. A cheap beach house may be perfect for the group instead of a cheap motel.
