The purpose of this thread is not for me to get contact information, an interview, etc.

I would like to know what opportunities are down there for a mechanical/process engineer and if you have any comments on them. I'm interested in the area between Houston and Corpus - but not including either city.

I am aware of a few of the larger places:
*Dow - Sweeny?
*Phillips - Sweeny?
*STP - Matagorda/BayCity
*Dow - Port Lavaca
*Formosa - Point Comfort
*Alcoa - Point Comfort
*Celanese - Wadsworth

Any opportunities in Victoria?

Dow Chemical is located in Freeport, not Sweeny. Phillips is actually located in Old Ocean which is close to Sweeny.

Invista( formerly DuPont) in Victoria.

Ineos (formerly BP) in Victoria.

Hey, there LSF, long time no post from!

Texas City has BP among others.

Also the Deer Park, Pasadena areas but don't know all the names

BASF in freeport
there's some plants on 35 down by port LaVaca
there's a chemical plant on 2004 near chocolate bayou (i drive by it all the time but have now forgotten the name)

Reynolds and Dupont in ingleside (next to corpus)

Oxy also in Ingleside.
