I'm attending a conference at the Moody Gardens Hotel and my afternoon class has been cancelled. What should I do to amuse myself?

A day to kill in Galveston tomorrow (04/24/07)

The one "must do" at Moody Gardens is the aquarium. The rainforest and 3-D Imax are also nice, but don't miss the aquarium. Schlitterbaun is nearby but they might only be open on weekends until summer.
If I had tomorrow afternoon off of work, I would probably have lunch and a beer at the Spot and then I'd grab a longboard and catch a few waves. But that's just me.... 
where is "the spot"?
I am also stopping off in Alvin on the way down to see an Aunt and Uncle, but will still have plenty of time to get down and see what is up.

The Spot is on Seawall (around 32nd street). Although if it were me and I had the day off and was going to be in Alvin, I might eat at Joe's BBQ instead. 
sonny's for lunch. they only take cash, and the food is some of the best on the island.
I really love the gumbo they serve on Friday nights at Sonny's.
The gumbo at Sonny's on Fridays gets my vote also.
