He has ESPN Plus, so it shouldn't be a problem getting the game.

I'll go by this week and talk to him to make sure we won't have any interruptions.

Good deal...I sent Monett a message on myspace so she was going to get with him tonight too.

The band will be outside and won't start until after the game is over.

Apparently there was a fire at Earnie's Place last night and some electrical equipment was damaged and the bar is closed until further notice.

We won't reschedule the game watching at Scoreboard for two reasons:

1) I don't know if he has the ability to show it (He has ESPN Plus, but it wasn't working last Saturday)

2) People have already stated that they don't want to return to Scoreboard for game watching.


I will call Tejas to see if they have ESPN Plus and are willing to show the game tomorrow afternoon.

Maybe opie has more info on the status of Earnie's.

At around 4:00am last night, the fire department got a call from someone reporting smoke coming out of Earnie's place. Aparantly, there was an old washing machine that was plugged in up in the attic and it sparked a fire up there. It was on fire for quite some time, as the entire attic turned into an oven and melted most of the plastic stuff up there. We're talking about DISH TV boxes, Amps, Computer(s), wires, a fridge, tools, etc.

The fire eventually burned downwards (through 10 inch support beams) and dropped down into the dish-washing area behind the kitchen.

There is now a 10ft (diameter) hole above the dish washing machine, insulation everywhere, smoke damage througout the building, and water everywhere.

Earnest, his fiance, his friends, etc. have been working all morning to air the place out, clean out the food in the fridge, and get all the other ancillary stuff arranged (cable, power, water, insurance, TABC, etc.).

THE GOOD NEWS: Earnie's will be open tonight for a parking lot/lawn party tonight with great drink specials (because he can't keep the keg beer cold for long and doesn't want to store the bottles). There isn't much power (he's working off of generators), but he's working on getting enough juice for the band to play and to run a register. This means it's CASH ONLY. He'll probably be closed for the next two weeks as they clean up and re-build, but tonight is the party. Tell your friends.

I'm going to YPV and the Monte Montgomery, but maybe we'll leave early and stop by.

Didn't see you at MM tonight or Earnie's. MM was awesome, as usual, and the rendition of "In your Eyes" was amazing. Earnie sold out of most of the beers and we almost got a great chick-fight to boot. All in all, a great night that I'll remember for a long time.

I went to Earnies but didn't see you. I left pretty early though.

We ended up staying at 205 for YPV longer than expected.
