I'm looking into renting a beach house for a bachelor party style weekend this summer. Some activities that will take place are surfing beach activities (footbal and the like). Possibly an offshore fishing trip. A bar near by would be nice. probably between 8 and 15 guys.

Oh yeah consumption of massive quantities of alcohol.

What are you suggestions for the baest area to pull this off?

well, I live near Port A, and it's hard to find a good house on the water. If anyone has stayed at Matagorda, or surfside or somthing like that

Easy..South Padre Island
We have gone down there for the past 5 summers or so with a big group of friends and every year has been great. South Padre has great beaches, golf courses, atmosphere.
If you are looking at renting a House, look at the "interior" property as opposed to "beachfront". We have always stayed interior, much cheaper and most of the times right across the street from the beach. Just make sure you are on the beach side and not Laguna Madre (bay) side.
