Where is a good Irish Pub in the downtown area of Corpus?

Good question. I'll be spending a week there in April and would like to know as well.

Cassidys downtown is the Best. Have Guiness on tap. Its on Water Street across from Bank America Building in the first floor of the Ramada (I think). Near Havana Club. OMalleys downtown is OK...just a regular bar....Cassidys is a Pub!

for a guy who is reputed to spend a lot of time hanging around the Copano Causeway bait shop and the lighted pier at Conn Brown harbor trolling for toothless hags, you have a lot of nerve calling me out about the bar scene in Corpus.

Besides, are you suggesting that the average female habitue of CC bars is not carrying an std, not pregnant by her mid teens and has an IQ equal to her belt size (usually about 50, except for the Meth Queens, who are closer to 16)?

Cassidys is a pretty cool Irish Pub. It is as original as you can expect in Corpus. I did not make it to O'Malley's.

I did go to "Bourbon Street". I think that was the name. That had a cool bar. Not so sure about the atmosphere. I was drinking beer there mid-afternoon. But I really liked the "bar" itself, as in where you sit and look at the taps.

I’m happily married with kids and am just looking for a place where some old college friends and I can remember the past while drinking a few beers. Sounds like Cassidy’s is the best place for this.

And I went downtown last night and hit four of the bars. I stand by my previous assertions.

Should've went to Leopard street and pick you up a toofless mexican hooker, because that's the only thing that would be interested in your ancient, liver spotted ass.

I didn't go to the bars to pick up anybody (or thing)and I am not interested in going out to Leopard for your pre-rented rejects.

As for livers, I understand that is what you usually use to bait hooks.

Chicken works the best.

So I have heard. I tried to bait a hook with Chicken once and the fowl pecked me. Once he was in the water, he thrashed around so much he scared all the fish away. My hat is off to you guys who can get away with such matters. I switched to lures after that.
