What is going up next to Outback?
Diablo, if that is a RuthChris's going up next to Outback I will be so happy!
I think Hooters is also opening on the 19th.
Papasito's was supposedly in the works for some time. The supermarkets are also upgrading. First I'd heard the Golden Triangle was getting a Ruth's Chris Steakhouse though - I don't know that the area's upscale enough to support it. Hooters should fit in just fine.
I've heard that there may be a pappasitos opening across the highway from Central mall next to the new hospital.
I'd rather go to that all-you-can-eat Mexican place in Nederland. I forget the name (it's not Pancho's). I ate there last year and was pretty impressed.

I ate there Saturday, it's actually my least favorite mexican restaurant right up there with Casa Ole.
Acapulco's is good and Chula Vista has the best fishbowl margarita's in town
I miss two of my childhood haunts at Parkdale: Farrell's and the Mexican restaurant next to it where you could eat out in the open.
I think the Acapulco's at Parkdale has outside seating.
Chula's fishbowl margaritas sneak up on you and can knock you on your arse.
By far, my favorite Mexican restaurant in town is Acapulco. They have the coldest beer in town.

Another vote for Acapulco as the best mexican in town. The one in Nederland has the worst service though.
SETX, go to the one between College & Washington. Never had a complaint.
where is the Acapulco's in Nederland??? Taco Rey on Nederland Ave is the place to go if you are hankerin' for some great Mexcian food in Nederland.

Dillotat, I do go to that one as well because I work in Beaumont. i have never had a problem there.

I ate at Floyd's (formerly Don's Seafood) last Sunday. It was pretty dang good. I missed the old decor inside, though.
Have ya'll tried the 'new' Baytown Seafood over towards Jefferson City I believe. They have great food and pretty cheap too. Large portions as well.
That and Don's Grill (I think that's what it's called) is decent. It's in the old Papa John's in Nederland. Limited menu though.

My vote goes to Carlito's and Carmela's.
Best Mexican Food in the Golden Triangle is Carmela's in Nederland. Hands down.
A close second is Rio Rita's on Crockett St. in Beaumont.
Anybody know the name of that sandwich place in PA? Its right there next to the hospital on Gulfway. Their turkey and cheese sandwiches are the best on earth.
