How 'bout that new course coming next summer?? This past weekend's paper did a highlight of what is to come. They say #18 could be one of the toughest finishing holes in Texas. As if it wasn't tough enough already. They also said it will appear as though the greens have been lowered. The greens weren't lowered. They remain at the same level. What they did is elevate all of the fairways and added new grass. Also, they reversed holes 1-5. #1 will be a par 5 going back along side the road that takes you to the parking lot. One other thing, the cart paths were widened to 8 feet for the entire course.

I went by the course about a week ago. Place is looking pretty nice. Have you seen/heard any info on proposed green/cart fees? Haven't noticed anything in the Galveston News.
I would be surprised with weekend rates that low. I remember the early discussion of rates talked about discounts for Galveston ressidents, but didn't go into detail about whether that would be city of Galveston or Galveston County.
