Heading to Galveston with the wife for Mardi Gras and to see Brett Michaels perform on Saturday. I would like to catch the A&M basketball game before heading to the Strand. Any recommendations for a decent sports bar to watch the game within walking distance to the Strand?

Go ahead and get on Strand. Patrick's will have the game on and their prices are good. Normally plenty of Ags in there watching

Thanks for the recommendation. We stopped in and liked the vibe of a small, local bar. Good bar food and cold drinks.
