I currently have TXU Energy as my provider for my house in Rockport. However, I'm thinking their rate is probably higher than other companies. What provider do you recommend for the middle coast?

I would look at powertochoose.org or this site: Texas Electricity Rates - Compare the Cheapest for August 2023 (comparepower.com)

I can't vouch for the latter but have used the former for years.. If you are in ERCOT, you need to be shopping rates every time your contract ends. Electricity rates are like term life insurance. Shop it.

We use Frontier and it has been fine. Bills have been cheaper than my place outside of Seguin
