I may be headed down to Port A/Mustang Island in a couple of weeks, so I may be in the market for an offshore fishing guide. I have never been offshore fishing before, so I'm not really sure what I'm looking for other than someone take me out on a boat to catch fish. Any and all recommendations or suggestions are welcome.

If it's just you , you may consider going on a group trip to save some money. But it's so nice to have your own boat with your buddies.

If you're prone to motion sickness get your doc to get you a scopolamine patch and put it on behind your ear the night before. Or get some meclizine (non drowsy alternative to Dramamine).
Bring some sun screen, shades, snacks, waters and get ready to real in some fish. Usually going for snapper first. Doing drifts over structure and you drop down some cut squid bait/jigs and pull up some big boys. Then when you limit , go trolling for Kings/mahi/wahoo if time allows.
