Mrs. Ro and I are trying to remember the name of a jewelry store that used to be in operation in downtown Beaumont. The last time we remember going there was Christmas holidays of 1969, so I'm sure the place has been closed for decades. At that point in time three generations of the family had run the place and the patriarch still came in to work six days a week. I'm 49% sure the family that ran it is Jewish.

Alter's Gem Jewelry would be my first guess...next would be Charles Nacol Jewelry or William S. Nacol Jewelry..

correct. Would either be Alters or Nacols, both of which are still around today.
