Possibly moving to Galveston pretty quickly. Need help. Young single guy so im looking for an apartment. Need to know where to live and where not to live. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's nowhere not to live that you can't tell pretty quick by looking at it. If you want to live close to UTMB there are decent (nothing fancy) apartments in the ferry road fish village area. Also lots of lofts downtown if you have more money to spend. Also on the East End there are alot of rooms/split multi family houses to rent. Nicer apartments are on Seawall. Some decent in 61st/Central City Blvd. area.

There are also some decent places around the Campeche Cove area... around 110th street. And I agree with the previous poster about how quickly you can tell about the quality of a place. Welcome to the Isle

I live in midtown and most of my neighbors are old, but it's kind of nice like that.

Trident - nice boat.

We try to make a trip to the Island to fish at least once a year - lots of drum and speckled trout in the freezer (well, I think we're out of trout for now).

The fishing didn't work out last year with our guide (weather was bad the week we were there), and didn't have much luck on the Flagship pier - and now the pier is out. Where's a good place to fish if you don't have a boat now? And I've never wade fished, but my husband wants to.
