My daughter and I hit Galveston for a few hours this afternoon. It was wonderful. We had lunch at Yaga's on Strand and dessert at Ben & Jerry's on seawall. We walked Strand and things were looking up. A few shops were open and more were underway. The restaurants by the Elissa looked to be open. We drove from East Beach to 45th street on Seawall. Mario's, Fish Tails, Guiado's and The Spot were all open and full of patrons. It was a lovely day! I wish we had more time. There was also a plane flying around advertising Moody Gardens.

If you are in the area and looking for something to do during Spring Break for a day or two, I highly recommend Galveston. The service was great and everyone had a smile on their face. I can't wait to take another day trip there soon.

Glad you had a good time. I've been happy to see how many people have chosen Galveston to enjoy their spring break. Things certainly are starting to feel more normal around here (I know for MANY people they are far from normal, I just mean with all the tourists here for spring break and everything.)

Walking the dogs on the beach proved to be a little difficult last night -- tons of people enjoying the sunset and last rays of sunshine!

It's wonderful to see all the visitors back in Galveston. Hope this means great things for the coming Summer season.
