I'm looking for some short term housing in Corpus. I'll be down for 3-4 months starting in late July.

I've taken three similar trips to corpus in the past 3 years for work. I live in Pearland so I drive back every weekend.

My past trips I've stayed in hotels the entire time. If I do the hotels/restaurants thing my work lets me just expense my costs. But I recently found out that if I want to I can go per diem and pocket any savings.

So... I'm looking to find a place to live for 500-700 per month for 3-4 months. From a quick internet search it appears that there are some apartments that offer short term leases.

Does anybody know of a good apartment to look into or know of a better option.

Price is much more important to me than looks/amenities.

I can't think of any place off the top of my head, but if you find some and post the names I can try to get some reviews of them from locals for you!

stoneleigh apartments off of staples st. have brand new studio apartments. i think they range from $500-$600. not sure if they have lease terms less then 6 months though. i have not had any problems with them.

Just go to any of the real estate places on the island. They can rent you a condo for that time period in that price range all utilities included. My company has had people in that area off and on for several years and rented condos on the island for anywhere from a month to 2 years. Most are not bad at all and they normally have several to chose from.

If Christiwood is one of the places that come up I'm there - no issues.

Be careful...Corpus has a lot of shady apartments. Might want to try around saratoga area.

Call a realtor or 2. I was able to find a garage efficiency in a nice neighborhood for 4 months, and got the rent cut by $25 a month if I paid it all up front. Most of these deals are not adveritsed in order for the landlord to be "choosy" about the renter.

You could knock on my parent's door. Don't think you'd be welcome though. They make me sleep in the garage anytime I go to visit.
