There are several bars not to far from there right behind the Water Street restaurants. We like the Irish Pub that is right in that area.
I haven't been there yet, but my friends all have good things to say about that Irish Pub.
Cassiday's Irish Pub is good but so is Brewster's, which is right down the street towards the baseball field.
In no particular order...
Brewster Street is the closest, but more of Gruene Hall feel.
