How long do you want to ignore this user?
I found the sweetest female black lab on Christmas Eve near Avenue D & 1 1/2 St in Nederland. We saw her on Christmas Eve running around the neighborhood and then she reappeared on the 26th so we took her in. We didn't want her to get hit. She's not really little puppy, but I would guess that she's less than 1 year old. She does have a small white marking on her chest and really long tail. No collar. If we are unable to find the owner, we would like to give her to a good family instead of taking her to the pound. We are teaching her to fetch and she's really loveable. We'd keep her, but we already have another lab and we don't have room for two kennels when we travel. If you or anyone you know is interested, please e-mail me at emilypeters25@yahoo.com or reply to this post. Thanks!

Thanks... we'll check it out. I know this sounds bad, but I almost hope it isn't her. We've had her for almost 3 weeks now with no signs of an owner and have gotten really attached. We called the Humane Society, all the city dog catchers, asked out vet to ask around, and posted something on southeasttexas.com. You'd hope that if someone really wanted their dog back, they would have tried other resouces to find it, but you never know. All of our potential new owners (family/friends/friends of friends) fell through and we had made the decision to keep her unless the owner appeared. Anyways, I'll head up there now and check it out. Thanks!

FYI - I went up there after I posted the last reply and did not see any flyers for a black lab on their bulletin board inside. There were a bunch of other posting for missing dogs, but not that one. Hopefully, that owner found his/her missing puppy.
