My son is graduating from TAMUCC on the 20th. I need help finding a nice place to eat (no chains) for about 20 people.

Any suggestions?

most of the better places around here are small and locally owned and make their money catering. The Christmas season is the season to clean up catering.

Luciano's has a good sized room for events like yours as does Marco's but Katz's may be your best bet.

Yardarm is nice on Ocean Blvd...little pricey but very good

I had forgotten about Nikos, which is just another slightly overpriced steak house with fare that would be laughed at in San Antonio or any other town with good restaurants.

Yardarm is good for seafood but could it handle that big a crowd without shutting out everybody else? It is kind of small.
