Councilwoman Beeton wanted to extend the declaration for two more days so that then the other council members could have a say. Weber knew if he walked out they couldn't have a quorum so now vote would take place. He took the pansy way out and removed the citizens opinion in the matter.

This whole ordeal is a mess, Lyda Ann is doing the best she can, but she's a part-time unpaid official. The City Manager (Steve LeBlanc) should be in charge in situations like this, he makes hiring and firing decisions of all the heads of dept. in the city and is a full time paid employee. She's over her head.
