The KHOU reporter on the Seawall just inferred that the Balinese and the neighboring gift shops are gone. Did I misinterpret that? That place had a lot of Galveston history.

It is a total loss. They were just showing pictures on Channel 2. It is nothing but a pile of rumble.

The Hooters, Murdoch's and Balinese are all gone. Their rubble is sitting on SeaWall Blvd. Also of note: The 1900 memorial statue is gone as is the little park that surrounded it, even the wall that protected it from some wind.

Us Gtown evacuees are eagerly awaiting some aerial footage when the winds die down. I hope all of you from that area are safe and sound with a family as supportive as mine.

Still standing, but it took a beating. One of the ramps to the parking lot collapsed.
