I hope it washes away this montsrosity and they get sued by someone, whoever, for f***ing up the natrual vegetation, go bankrupt, and have to remove all the crap they've already done.

Maybe we can get a double whammy and the storm surge pushing through packery will wash tortuga bay into CC bay where it will then crash into the coliseum and the old courthouse. 3 for the price of 1.

not gonna happen to the Coliseum. The architect, Richard Collie, built it to withstand the worst hurricane. That's why it would cost close to a million to raze it.

I'm not hatin' on the C-bus ships, just on the city of CC who haven't appropriated funds to maintain said ships.

Memorial Col...thats a pretty solid building but i think the roof is about to blow off this weekend.

I am all for the coliseum blowing down. To bad it won't happen, but you are right about the roof though. It is looking pretty rough.

Why is it that people in Texas are all for individual property right unless someone is building something that they don't like?

I drive by that damn crappy colleseum every day since I moved here and have been wondering why they keep it. I have only lived here 4 months by the way, and I could have told you on day 2 that it needed to go.

these things in Corpus are public, that is why we are concerned. Anything going in where the coliseum is is going in on what is public property. Citizens have a say in that.
The tortuga bay development is being built because of the waste of public funds by the city to dredge packery and sell it to developers. Citizens get a say in that. The city just doesn't care!

ya'll people make me laugh....that is the reason that Corpus has not grown, we don't have money to renovate building liek coarthouse and Colesium...., because you refuse progress.

There needs to be BOTH natural beaches and resorts.

Saying now to Landry's was the biggest mistake corpus ever made....

What has happened to the Coliseum anyway? We used to have our high school graduations there for carroll high school. And we bought our Christmas trees there...

After they built the American Bank Center, there was no need for the coliseum. Everything from TAMU-CC Basketball and the Ice Rays to concerts and circuses takes place there. The ABC went up next to the Selenas auditorium. (They renamed Bayfront Auditorium.)

So now we have a vacant building. The council can't find anyone to move in. The best offer they had on the bay front was Landry's, but it got voted down by the voters because they wanted a giant Ferris wheel on the marina.
