Where should I go for Mexican food in Corpus? Thanks . . .

If you want authentic mexican food go to La Playa. But if you are looking to get out of your comfort zone there is a little place called To-Ce-Chi that is awesome. It is a hole in the wall, so don't take a date.

Enchilidas are also very good at a place called Hi-Ho.

Elva's Fine Mexican Food is not what you are looking for.

I use to LOVE Recio's, but when I was in Corpus last, I noticed it is now a parking lot... Went to school with one of the sons at Ray.

Acapulco at Airline and McArdle is pretty good. There are about two dozen's Jalisco's, they are good as well.

As you can see, all of mine are from HS, so they are cheap and greasy.

Take it from a real-life Mexican wannabe...

actually ended up going to Kiko's tonight . . . had a fish plate, Pescado Vera Cruz I believe . . . delicious it was, and a very good place . . . thanks all

La Playa is a Mexican Food staple in Corpus and South Texas.

We've been frequenting Cafe Maya (On morgan close to Crosstown). Its pretty solid. I've been told by some locals it ranks just below La Playa

It begins and ends at Kiko's on Everhart/Bonner.

Jalisco's for breakfast and lunch ( I prefer the one on staples by Hamlin Shopping center).

La Playa for dinner.

Taqueria el potro off of SPID (north side) and Rodd Field I believe- great place

I agree with the above post. Toss up between Kiko's and La Playa. Both have good food.

Hi-Ho mexican food, you can buy lunch there for about five bucks, great food, I would also go with La Playa on airline.
