Anyone else notice the cameras at the entrance to the national seashore? They take pictures of your license plates as your enter and leave the seashore. I asked the ranger at the entrance booth what they were for and she said "homeland security." I am assuming this is to somehow prevent drug and human smuggling.
The thing I really like about the seashore (besides fishing, open beaches, kayaking, etc...) is the laid backness of the main gate. At some parks like Yellowstone, they inspect your pass and compare signatures to your DL. At PI, you just cruise through the 2nd lane and flash your pass at the ranger.
