Montana Mike's for lunch today...chicken fried steak was a very good portion. The steak did not seem to be previously frozen. The texture was not too tough, not too much like hamburger. The batter seems a bit too much on the side of flour. Overall, a good steak for the money. I give it an A- .

Let me rephrase that. In my OPINION it's not even close. I think McMillens in Fannin, or Mikeskas in El Campo are better. Millers in Corpus used to be pretty good too. To be honest, I'm not really a fan of "store bought" bbq, the best I've ever had is what my dads cooks.

shhhhh. The first rule about Millers BBQ is you don't talk about Millers BBQ.

Joe Cotton's is good, although it always seems that the second serving of meat is always better than the first. Haven't been out there in a couple years, need to make my way out there sometime soon.

Town and Country Restaurant = Best Chicken Fried Steak

Had the chicken fried steak at Texas Roadhouse on Saturday. Not too tough, not too tender...tasty batter but not too much crust. The steak itself was somewhat thin. They use some seasoning that was different but not great. The gravy was decent. Overall, I rate the steak a B...a solid B. I expected more.

I ate a good CFS this evening at CJ's, near Rudy's and Lowe's on SPID & Airline.

For taste, freshness, portion, and price, I give it a A-.
