Someone knowledgeable help me out, please.

I have to be in Corpus this week on business. Planning to stay Wednesday and Thursday nights.

My business takes me a few blocks inland from the Peoples Street T-head.

I'd like something decent and nearby. Also would be nice if it was near some cool places to eat and go out.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

I recommend the Omni Bayfront (especially if your company is paying) and they have a great restaurant to eat at as well. There are places to eat within walking distance (Executive Surf Club--lots of live music and open mic night on Wed) and Water Street (get a margarita and try the dynamite sticks for an appetizer). The street behind Water Street Restaurant (I forget the name) has a few bars as well and 1 dance hall I believe. There is also Crawdaddy's which has GREAT crawfish and beer specials.

Enjoy your stay!

2nd the Omni Hotel. There are 2 actually. Omni Bayfront (white) and Omni Marina (brown), the color of the building, not the guests.

Both are on Shoreline Blvd. and close to dining/entertainment. The Omni Marina is 2 blocks closer.

The street parallel to Water St. is Chaparral St., which has live music venues.

Aka Sushi is really good. For a steak, go to Katz 21.

Executive Surf Club, Texas House of Rock, and Dr. Rockit's Blues Bar have live music, as does the Lizard Lounge.

A NICE place for drinks...Havana Club or Club 21.

You're right there...Omni is a no-brainer if the company's paying.
