I'm looking at putting a fence up in a home in the historic district in Galveston. Does anyone have previous experience with this, price, contractor, etc?
You just doing wood pickets? If so, find a couple of boys to do it for you and save yourself a ton of money.
If you end up going for bids from contractors, look up Alex Gonzalez with Creative Combinations, he's always given me the low price on any work I need. Tell him Charles from Ave T referred ya.
Make sure you or your contractor gets the city permit to build it.
If you're building a fence other than wood picket in the Historical District, make sure you clear it through them or they'll take action against you to take it down. Have to maintain that historical Victorian atmosphere.
Another option is to contact John Paul Listowski at 409-771-9174. He is a contractor, BOI, and a good Ag. He will take care of you. I've known him since childhood and used to date his sister a long time ago. Comes from good stock.
